What is Ostenil and what is it used for?
A solution containing sodium hyaluronate enters the joint space, which contains synovial fluid, and works by restoring the natural balance between the breakdown and production of sodium hyaluronate. This method is known as viscomplantation and its effect can reduce pain and stiffness and improve other symptoms of osteoarthritis.
Ostenil Indications
Regular injections of the drug are used to treat shoulder and elbow pain and also help in diagnosis. Asteroids have long been used to treat this complication. But they certainly have many side effects. Hyaluronans HA are a new alternative to asteroid drugs and offer many more benefits than asteroids.
HA occurs naturally in the joints. It acts as a lubricant and shock absorber, as well as providing proper nutrition for cartilage.
Normal HA in the joint decreases with wear and tear (degeneration or joint degeneration). This reduction has led to the development and production of HA injectable drugs known as lubricant supplements.
HA injection works by restoring the natural balance between fracture and HA production in the joint. It also covers pain receptors and inflammatory cells in the joint. The implication of these effects is that injection of this substance can reduce joint pain and stiffness.
It also restores physiological traction in the joint fluid, making the joint more mobile and facilitating daily activities.
Ostenil Side Effects
Ostenil (manually warns about it) can cause side effects after local intra-articular injection. In particular, adverse effects include burning sensation, pain, swelling, redness. To eliminate this reaction, a cover is recommended for 5-10 minutes after ice administration.
HA lubricant supplement therapy is useful for patients who have experienced the use of anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or who may have side effects.
The compound can be mixed with a local anesthetic and safely injected into the shoulder joint space. The HA in Ostenil is very pure and is produced using a process called fermentation. This compound does not contain any animal protein, which means that it is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. Ostenil has been prescribed to thousands of patients and no serious side effects have been proven.
