Baloxavir marboxil is an antiviral drug that is involved in the treatment of influenza, the symptoms of which started in the last 48 hours. This medicine helps to improve the symptoms (such as nasal congestion, sore throat, fever and chills, pain and fatigue) and can reduce the complete recovery time to one to two days.This drug stops the growth of the flu virus, but it is not a substitute for the flu vaccine.
Time and method of consumption

This medicine should be taken orally, according to the doctor’s prescription, with or without food and usually as a single dose.
The dosage of the drug is determined according to the weight.
Avoid taking this medicine together with products containing iron, zinc, selenium, calcium or magnesium. These substances can weaken the function of this drug. For better effectiveness, take this medicine at least 4 hours before or 2 hours after using these substances. Examples of these substances include antacids, vitamins, minerals, dairy products (such as milk, yogurt) and calcium-enriched drinks.
Other infections can have flu-like symptoms or occur along with the flu. These infections may require different treatments.
