Dihiston tablets

It is also used to counteract the effects of estrogen stimulation on the endometrium, and the risk of endometrial cancer. It is also used to help stimulate breast growth and reduce testosterone production.

How do Dihiston tablets work?

Dofaston 10 mg tablets contain dydrogesterone, a compound derived from the hormone progesterone. Progesterone is produced by the ovaries during the second stage of the menstrual cycle. This substance in the endometrium (inner lining of the uterus) describes the proliferative phase.

This causes the endometrium, which has thickened in response to estrogen in the first half of the period, to stop growing and releasing hormones and other proteins needed to maintain pregnancy (if any).

If pregnancy does not occur, estrogen and progesterone levels fall and the endometrium breaks down (menstruation). Diderogesterone in Dofaston tablets regulates menstruation.

What does Dihiston tablets contain?

Dofaston 10 mg tablets contain dydrogesterone, a compound derived from the hormone progesterone, which is used to treat many diseases caused by the lack of (naturally produced) progesterone.

Dihiston and menstruation pills

Duphaston 10 mg tablets are used to treat many cases that result from a lack of progesterone, including menstrual disorders such as secondary amenorrhea (menstrual cycle that has stopped, is irregular, or has not occurred at all), or dysmenorrhea. Painful menstruation is an abnormal premenstrual syndrome and uterine bleeding that occurs during menstruation instead of at the end of the menstrual cycle.

Dofaston 10 mg tablets are also prescribed to treat endometriosis (growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus that causes pain and bleeding), infertility, and unwanted miscarriage.

These pills also eliminate the stimulating effect of estrogen on the endometrium and, therefore, reduce the risk of endometrial cancer in women (cancer may develop in response to estrogen in women who are being treated for hormone replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms). It is used due to the lack of progesterone in the body.

The chemical structure of this pill is very similar to natural progesterone and therefore its use is similar to that of progesterone.

Progesterone is produced by the ovaries during the second phase of the menstrual cycle.

This hormone affects the walls of the uterus and converts reproduction into a secretory phase. The endometrium, which thins in the first phase of the menstrual cycle and does not grow, begins to secrete another hormone.

How are Dihiston tablets taken?

Take Dofaston tablets with a glass of water with or without food once or twice a day. The dose and duration of the pill depends on your treatment. You should take the pill as long as your doctor prescribes it.

Your doctor may extend the pill for 5 days or a month.

Dihiston tablet drug interaction

If dydrogesterone and bromocriptine are taken simultaneously, it will cause spontaneous and excessive milk secretion.

Drugs that induce the activity of liver enzymes such as rifampin and phenytoin and carbamazepine reduce the efficacy and effectiveness of the drug
