What is Clonazepam?

Clonazepam tablets are a powerful hypnotic and are classified as anticonvulsant drugs. Clonazepam is one of the most potent hypnotic drugs that induces deep sleep and is also more dependent on other drugs in the same group. Unlike alprazolam and nitrazepam, which have a short half-life, clonazepam lasts longer in the blood and is more highly dependent.
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine drug (such as diazepam) that is prescribed to treat various types of epilepsy and seizures in children and adults.
If you have epilepsy, you must have experienced anesthesia, fainting, or seizures.
Seizures are a nervous breakdown caused by a disturbance in the electrical activity of the brain. Sodium valproate controls seizures by reducing abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

How to take Clonazepam tablets

If clonazepam is given once a day, the best time to take it is at night before going to bed. However, some doctors prefer to prescribe the drug in smaller amounts but two to three times a day. Be sure to take the medicine exactly as your doctor advised.
